Ordering

How long will it take to make my keepsake?

Our current waiting time is 8–10 weeks, though we always aim to get your keepsake back to you sooner. We'll keep you updated on progress where we can. Each keepsake is handmade from precious clothing and takes many hours of careful work. If waiting times change during busy periods, we'll post it here and on Facebook.

I need my keepsake in a hurry. Can you rush it?

Yes, we offer an express service for an extra £15. Express orders never delay anyone else's: we make them outside our normal working hours. Please contact us before ordering so we can check we can fit it in. Express is available for keepsake animals and bears, not blankets.

When do I pay?

You pay when you place your order, by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. Work starts once payment has cleared. Because every keepsake is personalised and made to order, we can't offer a refund once work has begun.

How much is delivery?

UK tracked delivery for your finished keepsake is £7.50 per keepsake, added at checkout. Each keepsake is ordered and posted separately, so if you order more than one, postage is charged on each. Gift vouchers are posted free. You'll need to cover the cost of posting your clothes to us; we recommend a tracked service.

Do you offer discounts for multiple orders?

We only offer discounts on large orders. Our prices are in line with, and often lower than, similar makers, and every keepsake is made to a very high standard. Have a look at the reviews on our Facebook page.

Can I request a keepsake that isn't on the website?

It's always worth asking! We're continually developing new keepsakes, and we make test pieces until we're 100% happy before adding anything to the website. It might be something we're just about to launch.

Do you ship outside the UK?

Yes, we'll ship anywhere in the world, as long as you're happy to cover the cost of posting your clothing to us and the return postage. Please contact us before ordering.

Your clothing

How many items of clothing do I need to send?

For a baby clothes keepsake, 5–6 items in size 3–6 months, or the equivalent amount of fabric. Please don't send too many, as returning unused clothing adds to your postage. For keepsakes made from adult clothing, one adult shirt is enough, but you're welcome to send more. Each product page lists exactly what's needed.

What fabrics work best?

Cotton jersey, the fabric babygrows are made from, is ideal. Pyjamas, t-shirts, jeans and corduroy also work well. We can't use loosely knitted, thickly padded or very fine or delicate fabrics, as they don't hold up well as keepsakes. We also can't use adult underwear.

How should I send my clothing?

Please wash everything first (no need to iron), wrap it carefully, and send it by a tracked service. We can't accept responsibility for parcels that are lost or damaged before they reach us. We'll let you know as soon as your parcel arrives safely.

Can I have input into the design?

Of course. If there's an item or detail that means a lot to you, let us know when you order or include a clear note in your parcel. If you don't have any requests, we'll use our experience to design it for you. We always try to follow your wishes, but occasionally the fabric or design won't allow it, and we'll tell you if so. If you'd like us to contact you before we start, just say when you order.

Can I add a tutu to my classic bear?

If you'd like one item, such as a tutu or hood, reattached to a classic bear, please contact us before ordering so we can check it's possible and give you a quote. If there are several items to reattach, such as frills, wings and a tutu, get in touch and we'll talk through the options.

Can I drop off clothing or collect my keepsake?

Sorry, we're not able to offer drop-off or collection at the moment. Everything is sent by post.

About us

Who will be making my keepsake?

We're a small family business. We personally draw, cut, iron, line, sew, stuff, stitch, finish and package every keepsake, which is why there's a wait during busy periods. You can trust that it'll be made to a very high standard. That's why so many of our customers recommend us and come back again and again.

How should I look after my keepsake?

Our keepsakes are made from pre-loved clothing, so they're delicate. To keep yours looking its best, display it somewhere safe and out of reach of little hands. Lots of handling can loosen the limbs or change the shape over time.
