Ordering guide

How it works

Ordering a keepsake is simple. Here's everything you need to know, from choosing clothes to receiving your finished keepsake.

  1. Choose your keepsake

Pick a bear, animal, blanket or cushion and place your order online. Embroidered names and dates are free.

  2. Post us your clothes

Wash the clothes you'd like to use and send them by tracked post. We'll let you know when they arrive safely.

  3. We make it by hand

Every keepsake is designed, cut and sewn by hand, then carefully packaged and posted back to you, usually within 8–10 weeks.

Choosing your clothes

The best keepsakes come from the clothes that mean the most: the outfit they came home in, a favourite sleepsuit, a much-loved t-shirt, Dad's work shirt.

  • Best fabrics: cotton jersey (the stretchy fabric babygrows are made from), pyjamas, t-shirts, jeans and corduroy.
  • Fabrics we can't use: loose knits, thickly padded items, very fine or delicate fabrics, and adult underwear.
  • How much: usually 5–6 baby items in size 3–6 months for a bear or animal. Each keepsake's page lists exactly what's needed.
  • Prints and slogans: we place the pattern pieces to show off as much detail as we can. If something must be included, tell us.

Sending your parcel

  • Wash everything first; there's no need to iron.
  • Include a note with your name, order number and any special requests.
  • Send it by a tracked service. We'll email you as soon as it arrives.
  • Please don't send too much: returning unused clothing adds to your postage.

Making and delivery

Our current wait is 8–10 weeks, though we always aim to finish sooner. Every keepsake is drawn, cut, lined, sewn, stuffed and finished by hand, then carefully packaged and posted back to you. If you need it by a particular date, ask about our express service.

Caring for your keepsake

Because they're made from pre-loved clothing, keepsakes are delicate. Display yours somewhere safe and out of reach of little hands to keep it looking its best for years to come.
